I have been drawing and painting since I was a young kid, initially influenced by the illustrations I’d see in the comics that we probably all had as children, and I’d think wow! I want to draw like that...

Over the years I have worked in many different media, from airbrush to watercolour. These days I work almost exclusively in oil on canvas. I enjoy the freedom of oils and the texture and depth they allow me to achieve in my artwork.

My artwork generally follows the theme of ‘everyday’ life in the urban environment. It can be so easy to walk past something without actually seeing it and noticing that there might be a different perspective, and for an artist, an opportunity of realisation. I love to hone in on those lesser seen elements of our everyday environment and celebrate their character and the stories they tell.
